Byram Fire Respondes to a Reported Chimney Fire

Byram Fire responded to 27 Winding Way for a reported chimney fire.  The dispatch center upgraded the call to a fire in the residence.  Arriving units found the occupants of the house evacuating and were faced with smoke and fire coming from the walls above the fire place.   Crews began to open the walls and find the source of the fire.   Once located the fire was quickly extinguished.  Crews continued to open the walls to ensure there was no other extension. No injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation of the Byram Police department

Byram Fire Department Responds to NJ Bar and Grill

QUICK STOP BY PD SAVES BAR & GRILL
Early in the morning the Byram FD Was dispatched to the NJ Bar and Grill for an Activated Fire Alarm.  Arriving Police units advised the Fire Department of a working fire in the kitchen.  The Police Officer deployed his Fire Extingiusher knocking the fire and containing it to the kitchen.  Arriving fire units mopped up any hot spots and vented the building of smoke.

Byram Fire Trains For Ice Rescue

Every year the Byram Twp. Fire Department gets out and inspects their Ice Rescue Equipment.  The Department will then drill on the different techniques with the assortment of equipment.  Watch for the fire department drilling at a lake near you.
